After 7 weeks of smashing snooker Landywood are certainties for the play offs, with three more places up for grabs. Landywood head the table on 26points. Followed by West Enders, who are on 18 points, as are Windsor and Strikers. Paul Harrisons Strikers in 4th place won 3-1 against lonely Wolves, but two of the frames went to the wire on the black.

Mean Machine in 5th place on 16 points took on a struggling Nomads side winning 3-1. Sid Sidhu just managed to steal his frame off Wes Fletcher77-85, Wayne Gibbons was no match for the in form Chris Jones, who also leads the most wins 6-7. The unluckiest player, besides being one of the best, Mick Faulkner is having no luck at all, having taken a convincing lead against Andy Guy, who then fluked an outrageous snooker clawed his way back into the game, winning 71-53.

Also on 16point Young Guns playing the Silver Surfers, who must be applauded for their tenacity and love of the game, took only their 3rd point with a 71-69 black ball win for Sid Compston against Luke Higginbotham. Young Rob Jones a gifted young boy managed a 50 break, but watching him play this week I think he will have to be drug tested after the antics of last week. James Hill with a comfortable win over Malc Raeburn 57-104, needs to speak to Rob Hughes Champs, who would like to know if you could still have the same concentration after a B.J?!! I understand James actually put a 50 pence coin in the lights.

This weeks late match saw a reverse in positions for last weeks 2nd and 3rd  teams with west enders turning over Brian Bottleys Windsor 3-1. Eddy Payne taking the points in the final frame, with a black ball win over Richard Felton.

Next Weeks early starters are Rob Jones Young Guns versus Brian Bottley’s Windsor table 3. The late shift, Mean Machine v Landywood.

This weeks Footy Card, winner would you believe was Rob Jones, which made a pleasant change to Paul Hodgkiss winning he won the previous two weeks cards.

Don’t forget all to play for, the top four go into the play offs in week 12.
